Thai Yoga Massage (Thai Massage, Nuad Pan Boran) is an ancient form of therapeutic healing. Born in the temples of Thailand, Thai Yoga Massage has been around for over 2,500 years. It combines acupressure, energy/meridian balancing, stretching, and gentle yoga asanas (postures) in order to align the energies of the body for optimal health and wellness.

Thai Yoga Massage is based on a yoga tradition that vital energy (prana) flows through a series of channels in the human energy body. It is believed that stress and disease are caused by blockages in that energy flow and the aim of the massage is to release those blockages, restoring equilibrium and harmony, promoting a return to good health.

This training is open to everyone - no prior massage or yoga experience is required. Our course is currently pending accreditation from the National Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NBTMB) to offer Continuing Education Credits (CECs). After final approval anyone who has taken the course previously will receive be eligible to receive CECs for their hours (i.e. grandfathered in).

In this course students will learn:

* How to perform a fully balanced 1 ½ – 2-hour Thai Yoga Massage.
* The history and principles of Thai Yoga Massage.
* The major Sen Lines massaged during a session.
* Gentle yoga stretches and meditation techniques to avoid burnout and injury.
* Modifications for clients with certain limitations and/or health concerns.
* Proper body alignment and how to work with different body types safely.
* The business of Thai Yoga Massage and state regulations.

"I hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend. Since Michael Jackson's passing, I think of life differently. Michael Jackson is the reason why I love music and why I became an artist. I think I am his ultimate fan lol. Regardless of what the media says, I truly believe he was a great man inside and out. I'm starting to realize that all truly beautiful souls are misunderstod in this world. I feel that MJ epitomized the word 'love'. I urge everyone to continuously let your friends and family know how much you love and care for them. No one lives forever. Michael showed what a true entertainer is, and how to capture the moment. And his love for humanity was so genuine. I am blessed I was able to be a witness of the MJ generation.
I love you all.

Well, The Beautiful Ladies of Jazz Banana Puddin' Jam hosted by Rome Neal at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe (Lower East Side of Manhattan) was HONESTLY one of the Best shows I've ever done. After having the opportunity to rehearse one time!...the Band and vocalists flowed together like honey on a rock. There was a level of comradery amongst all of the musicans and vocalists that I've never experienced before.

A special thanks to all the all women's band: Mamiko Watanabe on piano, Phyliss beard on bass, Elisabeth Keledjian on drums and Tove Langhof on tenor sax.

This time, I'll let you all hear from Rome Neal (below). Also, read the Banana Puddin' Jazz poem to get an authentic feeling of what the night was like. This poem is written by every member of the audience, line by line and then recited at the end of the show.

Oh, and by the way, the complimentary Banana Puddin' was soo deliciouso! The Best!
